BASIC (Basic Assessment & Support in Intensive Care)

Offered by the Critical Care Society of Kenya (CCSK), the BASIC course is designed to equip healthcare professionals with skills and knowledge in Critical Care Medicine.

Target Audience:

• Junior doctors embarking on a career in intensive care.

• Residents in anesthesiology, internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, and family medicine.

• Fellows in anesthesiology, critical care, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, and pulmonology.

• Consultants looking to refresh their critical care expertise.

Format:

• 6-week Pre-reading: Gain foundational knowledge through comprehensive reading materials available in physical manuals or digital formats (iOS/Android).

• Pre-test: Test your understanding before the hands-on training (deadline: 15th November 2024).

• 2-day Hands-on Training: Engage in practical sessions to apply your knowledge in real-world scenarios.
